How has Nobuko's views of the clans changed over the course of the games from where you first thought of her?

Prior to the games actually occurring, Nobuko had the view that it didn't matter what clan she was married into and that all clans - save perhaps the Crane, who her mother was from and who conducted her schooling - were about the same. Since then, she has learned more about the clans through their members and generally views the Unicorn, Mantis, Scorpion, and Crab in a more positive light than she does the others. This doesn't mean she views those clans negatively, though. It's more of a 'neutral' take on them. She's more inclined to 'push buttons' in favor of the clans she's closer to than in favor of those she's not. Which, in and of itself, is a form of political power. Something she feels she may need to have a measure of to help pursue the goals of her future spouse and the Otomo family as a whole.

I really liked this one where her and Jiro get super into speculating over what's going on with the Hitoshi plot and all the extra loose ends they've come across. Nobuko was not trained formally in the ways of the Otomo, but she still grew up in the heart of the castle and understands political machinations really well. Including the principle of keeping one's hands clean while looking the other way when others don't for plausible deniability. The fact that her best friend is a Scorpion with whom she doesn't feel she has to hide this way of thinking or presenting herself, so in scenes where they 'dish', she gets to be a bit more openly scheming than she would otherwise allow herself to be - without necessarily doing something that could be construed as 'mean' or 'cruel' because she is genuinely a kind person. But she is also not softhearted or ignorant of how some matters are, and must be, conducted.

My favorite seen that she wasn't in was Kenji and Kokyou's "Visiting His Bad Luck". It shows some great personal introspection and discussion of philosophical views of justice vs the law as written and the demands of honor and bushido as a whole. Really nice, somewhat subtle, character moments for both of them.
