"Both have their merits, I believe. But we Kakita are raised with the words to live life passionately, which is why it is sometimes difficult to keep my ON up," he replied. "But yes, difficult decisions hurt."

"Passion that is what may be your demise." Kaidan said plainly. "You might want to start growing to a more..." He took a deep breath. "Centered life... that is what Daidoji sensei told me when teaching me the art of iai."

[Kakita Kenji]

"Maybe, it really is, maybe it would be good to change, I don't know." Kenji said somewhat thoughtfully. "The meditation classes in Hirosaka have helped me find my inner center, even if I find it hard to bypass my nature sometimes."

[Bayushi Kaidan]

"Meditation helps focus ones emotions. If you want yo control fire there are also other ways." He sipped his tea. "I use origami and sometimes write poems."

[Kakita Kenji]

"I used to Sing with my Sisters, but never indulged artistry" he admitted, "Even though i haven't sang alot latley. Maybe i should pick up an art, something like Ikebana perhaps?" he ponderd. "Oh Origami, have you made the crane ones in Hirosaka back then?" he asked.

[Bayushi Kaidan]

"Those were my cranes." He nodded. "I was frustrated by failing making them in artistry class... instead of letting it stop me I went on and made more."

[Kakita Kenji]

"Not giving up is important... ...even if you almost perish in the process"

[Bayushi Kaidan]

He nodded. "Some lives are expendable. They may be destined for better things." He knows that probably his fate is death sooner that many expect.

[Kakita Kenji]

"Aiichiro-san told me that crabs, more than anything else, internalize and accept death. The life of a samurai belongs to his lord, but for the crab, death is no obstacle, no annoyance and no reason to mourn. It is another life, another sacrifice for the empire... It just happens."

[Bayushi Kaidan]

"That is why things one should practice things like art because even in death things done in life, physical, spiritual or artistical wit still around with your soul." He nodded. "Then you might want to practice an art." He thought about his stay in Shinden Asahina. "You should visit the gardens if you like Ikebana. Part of what might help to center yourself will be flowers." Then he once again repeated.

"Until recently I never gave much thought to my legacy, it was never anything that... really mattered to me. I always thought of traveling around as the Yojimbo of a diplomat and defending his honor. Now I was promised the post of Gokenin, and things are changing,.. I really should acquire an art form,...." He takes the last sip from his cup.

What meaning does the Haiku have? If I may ask, from your point of view of course, poems famously have different meanings depending on who reads them."

"The first line Fancy Daisy Smell, reminisce of those past experiences. Winter comes in morning dew means that even the simplest of things will be hard. Lives continues, no matter how hard things are go forward. " He explained.

[Kakita Kenji]

"Poetry, would also be a nice pastime. Thanks for the poem" He put aside his empty teacup. "Kaidan-san, thank you for this evening, it was, very enlightening."

[Bayushi Kaidan]

He finished his tea and nodded. "I am glad we could talk." He stood up and bowed. "If you excuse me... I have to go."

[Kakita Kenji]

"I wish you a good night, Kaidan-san" he said and bowed to the scorpion.
