As far as I remember from talking to Vutall, Craft :Meishodo for actual spells (including Sense, Commune and Summon) outside events uses Craft: Meishodo/ Ring as usual.

But he said the skill can be used to make pretty talismans/ amulets/ trinkets before]/i] using them to actually bind/ entreat the kami (or the elements, I'm not exactly sure how the Lore in 5e goes for how Meishodo actually works. I'm considering 'bind/ entreat the kami' as Prash's way of doing it if possible).

Using the skill just to craft a talisman might use different traits I guess, depending on what makes sense.
