(Crab Lands) Yasuki Ginkarasu's Day Off, Clear Water Village

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"I spent a lot of time at a shrine to Emma-O when I was young, being marked by the Fortune and all. Some of it rubs off." He rubs the back of his head a bit.

"Any preferred monasteries? I know I need to spend more time honoring Bishamon."

[Mirai]

She had an answer well enough, but after a moment she just shook her head. "No... when I think about it, I visit them all equally. I don't believe I could see myself favoring any one Fortune."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"That sounds like a lot of prayers to keep track of, but good on you for doing them!"

[Mirai]

"You sort of just have to make it up as you go. There's enough things to remember without having a whole bunch of specific prayers." She glanced over again. "Why Bishamon? Crab expectations?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He shakes his head, "Some of the Kuni looked us over and recommended that I do so. Not wholly sure why, but it's a very different feeling there then at the shrine to Emma-O."

[Mirai]

"I suppose I can see that," she noted quietly. "They all feel a lot alike to me for the most part. Different rituals, same piety."

Mirai paused. "...Ever been to a temple to Agashiko before?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He thinks a few seconds at that. "No, no I don't think so."

[Mirai]

The ronin didn't seem too surprised, nodding. "There aren't many. I suppose if there was one I visited more than anywhere else, there's a temple to Agashiko that I spent a good bit of time in growing up. Still, there ARE a lot more temple's to the seven, and they're quite a bit bigger. I don't even know how many there are."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"I wonder if anyone does at this point." He muses.

[Mirai]

"I imagine that there is some monk somewhere who does, but that has forgotten that they do." She thought the idea almost poetic.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He smiles broadly at that.

"Hai, that is quite possible. One hears tales of travelers stumbling upon a shrine or wayside statue that seems forgotten to the current age, and I always wonder if they're truly forgotten...or just too far out of the way."

[Mirai]

Mirai was silent a moment, looking thoughtful before shaking her head. "Mmm... perhaps. I don't think it's really so romantic though, when you think about it. A lost shrine is always a result of someone being forgotten, a last monk off on their own."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

A nod. "I bet a Fortune of Mystery would want shrines like that though. Puzzles for their followers to figure out."

[Mirai]

"Perhaps. Or, perhaps, that's just what they would want you to think." She gave a slight smirk. It seemed to fit how the Fortune's worked.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"Ooooooo good point!" He nods. "Even trying to triple think it will just leave you thinking about the wrong thing."

[Mirai]

Though she was still wary, as she always was with any samurai really, Mirai felt herself opening up a little bit to the Yasuki boy. It was rare to find a samurai so open in their emotions, and from what she could tell, honest. She even let a tiny smile stay on her lips.

"If it were any other way, what would be the mystery?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"Yeah! And you gotta have that if you're the Fortune of Mystery! Or what's the point?" He seems happy that Mirai seems comfortable at last.

A quick look at the sky, "Do you think your boat is going to leave soon? Or do I have time to play host while you're here in Clear Water Village?"

[Mirai]

She was pretty good with time, so she looked to the sky as well thoughtfully. "Unfortunately, I would guess the boat has about an hour until departure, and I should be a touch early just in case."

There was a moment's hesitation. "... Perhaps if... when I come back south again?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

A brief nod. "Yeah, okay. Though, if I'm not here, I might be in Crane lands. Can't really say no to the invite I got and shouldn't want to I suppose."

[Mirai]

She gave a small nod. She was curious what sort of invitation it was, but even with her comfortableness with the boy, Mirai still had habit not to ask. "Ah, well, such is life. Arigato, Hiruma-sama, for the offer and talk, but I should get to my boat."
