The New Winds

Even though Aiichiro only stayed for half the training time at the training grounds, he looks like he could have been there all day. The wounds that covered him afterwards did not help to ease the impression, and much less the fact that he was on the ground, unsure if sitting or fallen, but wary of getting up from the spot anyway.
At least he found a spot with a shadow, and the day was clear. So he watched how the others were going.

Haruki was feeling great, he landed all 6 hits and even managed to avoid harming his partner much. You could barely tell the ashigaru was sparring after, unlike Haruki's crab friend in the shade. Aiichiro seems to be having trouble standing up, and Haruki couldn't let that go if he had something to say about it. Approaching the boy, "need help getting to Himeya sensei, I'll give you a hand."

"I don't think I need help, but it would be appreciated, yes. I can go on my own, though." He looks at Haruki from the ground, standing up with a slight flinch, analyzing briefly the Kaito. "You barely got hurt. Not hurt that I can see. You must be very good at this. Father always said that the phoenix warriors were."

Asako Himeya comes along shortly, having been informed of how...vigorous...some of the ashigaru had been.

She bows to the students shallowly and looks at them with care in her eyes.

"Come, let me look at you."

Ginkarasu is looking all over, having heard about Aiichiro getting hurt. He'd been all concentrated on his own training, and figured that the Kaiu would be doing training with the artisans today.

"It's not concerning. I'm doing fine, I can walk fine." He says as he approaches more heavily than usual, feeling quite airheaded as he looked to Ginkarasu across the field and smiled.

She shakes her head no.

"It is not becoming to be too proud, Kaiu-san. You must be honest with yourself and others about what ails you so proper healing can be done. You are no use to your lord if you are too injured to perform your duties properly."

"Would it be alright for me to watch you work Asako-sensei?"

She nods at the Kaito, and motions for the Yasuki to come over as well.

"Alright. It hurts almost on my entire body and I can't think well."

Ginkarasu comes over since he's got permission.

"Aiichiro-san! Who did this! Was it part of training or something else!" Ginkarasu looks around like he'll threaten anyone who did this.

She nods.

"To properly assess your injuries, you should try your best to be specific when describing your pains. May I touch you?"

"You may, sensei. It was part of the training. The blows were on the side of my head, on my leg and on my hip. The first two feel quite numb."

Ginkarasu looks worried, looking between the sensei and Aiichiro.

"Hmm"

She closes her eyes and touches the boys injuries gingerly.

"I fear that herbal remedies would be too slow to help in time, these injuries are dire enough to put someone on bed rest for a week or more."

She rummages through her spell satchel and pulls out a scroll.

"May I ask the water kami to assist you?"

"Whatever you think is better, sensei." He looked back at Ginkarasu, getting worried because he was worried.

Ginkarasu nods, and tries to be supportive.

"Water kami! Aren't you lucky! I've done the bed rest thing, you don't want that."

She whispers a prayer, concentrating, and the water kami invisible in the air collect over the Kaiu before entering into him, making him feel as if he just woke up from a restful sleep and drank a glass of ice cold water on a hot summer day.

"All of these injuries from sparring? Makes me wonder if the lack of injuries on my sparring partner was due to me holding back well or him defending like a champion. If this is what they do to their charges, I certainly don't want to be their enemies."

He walks a little, feeling strange for not sensing any kind of uncomfort. "Thank you, Asako-sensei." He bowed deeply. "Yes, I got hit three times in a row and gave up. Could end up quite badly if I didn't tell them to stop it."
