Despite knowing there was a monkey in the vicinity, that screech caught Haruki by surprise. So much so that he forgot to check the path for inconsistencies, good thing his left foot just happened to find it! To prevent any injury, he turns to land on his right shoulder blade, then rolls out, making sure to stop once he's on his feet again.

He hears a male voice come from around the corner "Careful there, you never know what you Koshin no kami has in store for you." A monk in the vestments of Koshin comes into Haruki's view, checks for injuries, and finds few if any.

It would take a fair amount of time, but... eventually... Yui would arrive at Bayushi's temple with *some* of the offerings. She had *a* rock, not a black one. And she had *some* cherries. The rest though... well, those weren't easy to find. Mirrors weren't exactly cheap, and people took good enough care of them that she couldn't just find a broken one. Sheathes, well, it was similar with them.

Of course, maybe she just hadn't asked the right questions, or looked in the right places. She was new to the city, after all, and by no means used to hunting for religious offerings.

Ah well... it'd be *fine*, wouldn't it? It wasn't like she *had* to make offerings to *all* the Kami, right?

Thank you Koshin no kami for bringing that monk into Haruki's path. With the wise monk's guidance, Haruki's already found most of the offerings on his list: a rock that with a little cleaning and a proper wrap, looks almost like a baby, a small rock called a jet, a little shop that sold the simplest cups one could find, some cherries, and a random ronin who was just about to throw away their well used sheathe. Now all he needs is to find someone who happens to have a piece of mirror they can part with.

*Crack* "Crap, father said I wouldn't get a new instrument if I broke anything else. How will I tell him about this?"

Speaking of which, guess he didn't have to look too hard this time.
