Sakura, having napped during the lore snorefest earlier, wasn't feeling all that tired. There was so much city to see! Why be cooped up here! Her father would know what to do, cling to the shadows, carefully scale the wall...

Not long after Sakura, having slipped into a clean set of clothes, was scaling the nearby wall and climbing over...and out!

Now she had a whole city to explore!

Zashi has heard that some of the student were trying to sneak out, but with a turn finds themselves face to face with a teacher.

"Oh, so sorry sensei. This place...it's so huge? Where is this...?"

The sensei chuckles, muttering something about an air-headed Minor Clan runt and points Zashi in the direction of the dorms, following along to make sure that the student get there safely.

Sakura moved quickly into the city, amazed at how alive it was! She let her footsteps direct her, having no idea where she was going...and ended up walking around near the river.

D1 do I go Winding path (1) or Dwindling Fortunes (2): 1d2 2 (Dwindling Fortunes it is)

In front of Sakura is a very run down and shabby building, with a number of scruffy, scraggly, and hard looking ronin coming and going from it, as well as one standing at the door as a guard.

When Sakura approaches, he looks at her and frowns.

"Hey, kid. Scram. You don't belong here."

That made her jump, she had been looking more around and the run down building didn't have her attention until someone spoke.

She bowed though. Natural Crane reactions!

"Why don't I belong here? I'm here now aren't I? If I didn't belong I wouldn't be here."

The rough looking man growls and spits a blackish brown colored spit onto the ground, a leaf in his mouth.

"I said ya don't belong here, so you don't belong here. Didn't you learn to listen to adults?"

"Do you know who I am, adult-sama?" Sakura asked, a small smile on her face. Although she did move back at the spitting, that was gross.

To the Gambling House! That was smart, right?

As Shiso approaches, he spots another teenager engaged in conversation with a rough looking ronin. He seems unhappy.

Shiso climbed some crate, modulated their voice to sound more adult and peeked out just enough the mask would be seen.

"Your boss is looking for you. Leave the girl for now."

The ronin leered at Shiso for a few moments before he spit again and nodded his head.

"Fine. Get this kid outta here for me, will ya?"

He then turns to head inside.

A nod was all Shiso responded with as they didn't trust themselves to keep up the act. But once the bouncer was gone, they grabbed the girl's sleeve and pulled her out of sight. It was now obvious that they were one of the dojo kiddos.

"What are you up to?" They whispered conspiratorially.

Sakura didn't get a chance to say anything before some odd girl...guy...someone distracted the guard of this place that she had no idea of (except you had to pay to enter)...then was yanked away!

"Hey! This is a nice robe, don't pull it" Sakura pouted "I don't know, I was just walking around, exploring, and that guy said I shouldn't be here without explaining why. Or at least until you pulled me away. If he had just said it was pay to enter I wouldn't have been interested. Why are...oh, I remember seeing you earlier. Why did you follow me?"

Sakura at least remembered to bow.

"Of course I didn't follow you! You followed me!" There was a sound of a pout from underneath the mask, her sleeve was released and Shiso's arms folded defiantly. "I was just going to sneak into a gambling house, see what's the fuss is about!"

"But you were behind me, and I was here first, so you clearly followed me" Sakura made a hmph sound "let's go in then. Guard is gone!"

"You're just confused." Shiso pfff'ed. "Let's."

The guard having left, the entrance is open.
