Kazuko's far more relaxed than most of her peers as she chooses a weapon from the rack with a swagger in her step and an overconfident smirk on her face. This is the moment, all of her training and knowledge culminating to this event. She could beat the simple Phoenix bushi in her sleep. There's no way he stands any chance in her domain, not after the countless hours she's endured repeating drills to the point of exhaustion all in the name of perfection. This is her time to shine and she's going to be blinding.

As expected, Kazuko strikes first. The poor Phoenix didn't stand a chance, getting hit fairly hard across the chest as Kazuko is swept up by the excitement and adrenaline again. This happened with Haruki too but she looks far less apologetic to the stranger as Toya doesn't even get a sheepish grin as she bows and exits, already wondering who she'll beat next.
