There hadn't been any person in particular Mirai had wished to face or not when the iaijutsu pairings were posted. Still, there was a part of her comforted that it was at least one of the competitors she'd met more than once.

Giving the Mantis a deep bow, Mirai prepared herself.

Kokyou takes the dueling spot with a wide smile. The Fortunes sure blessed him today. His first opponent, such a view. Kokyou bows to the ronin with the same respect as to any other samurai.

He also prepares his stance calmly, allowing their ki to match up for a fair duel.
