Dao had seen the flames, but by the time he had gotten there, the blaze was already out and all the victims were saved, so he continued walking until he reached the Academy and the games event.

He sat down at a go table and waited to see if an opponent would step up to the challenge.

Hazrat bows before he sits down across from the monk. "Good afternoon, Togashi-san." As he prepares to play, he mutters a prayer for good luck. "Zhuanlun, Lord of Changes, smile upon me and grant me Good Fortune."
Casting Reversal of Fortunes: 21

He peers at the pieces for several seconds, then looks up at Dao very sheepishly. He leans across the board and whispers. "Ah.... How do we play this game?"

Dao was about to reach within himself, to focus his intellect upon the task at hand, but instead, he just grinned when he saw his opponent was another Unicorn, the fates had definitely intertwined his destiny with this Clan too much for it to be a coincidence.

"Yes, may Zhoonloon look upon you kindly Ide-san." He replies genuinely, before hearing that his opponent was a novice.

"Well basically we take turns placing rocks on the board, trying to block off the other side's pieces. Here, let's show you a few setups...."

Dao turns out to be a far more effective teacher than he thought and manages to inspire Hazrat to victory. Rather than being upset with his loss, Dao is elated.

"Wonderful matches Ide-san, you seem to have a natural knack for the game."

((OOC Hazrat earns 16 topaz points and Dao earns 2. All points are before ring reveal))
