At Kichiro's own reveal as Aiichiro's opponent he couldn't help but joke to himself. It's your boi Daidoji-san. Shake off the humor and focus.

With a slow step Kichiro takes his position in the arena. "An honor to face you Kaiu-san." A deep bow of respect offered to his opponent. Back straightened, a glance is given around the room to their attendance. No doubt many here observing the graduates of the ruby dojo and judging the success of their training. If Kichiro is to be the villain to their little experiment than so be it!

"Another trial stands before you Kaiu-san. A long ways from the carpenter wall... Here are Lions." Feet slammed into the ground establishing a strong foundation within the ring of earth. No disrespect in such savage attempts of fear towards his opponent. Only a strong regal pride and ironclad will piercing outwards. "Come on."

He was not able to shake his opponent, but neither was the Lion able to piece his mind. "I give you the same honor, Akodo-san. But if you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." He replied with fiery eyes, then looking to the side to notice Ginkarasu's and Prashant's cheering and went over towards his opponent.

The two warrior spirits collide with a fierce energy. A roar from the crowd escalating alongside their struggle. With a twist of Kichiro's back leg he finds proper footing and shoves Aiichiro out of the circle of blessed rice.

No boastful nature is displayed. Kichiro swiftly moves back into the starting position and bows respectfully.

Shoved, he found out the Lion was no bad fighter. He bowed in response before advancing for a second round.

The two clash once more and struggle against one another. "If only you-... Wouldn't be dead..." At this close of distance Aiichiro could hear Kichiro muttering something to himself quickly. A brief glance of eye contact reveals Kichiro to bare a wrathful look directed towards Aiichiro. Too subtle for anyone else to notice beside these two clashing warriors.

A solid foundation turns back the tide. Once more Kichiro meets his opponent's edge of the rice circle and swift returns to his position. A bow offered before the next round.

Two TP earned.

"So you think I'm a dead weight?" He says, foccusing himself to strike well next time. The arrogance of the little lion enraged him some.

Kichiro calms himself and holds to his lessons of control. Resistance firm but cautious. Aiichiro takes the win as Kichiro slides outside the ring.

The tide was turning. He liked this — the Lion seemed to get tired after all. Crab strategy was one of resisting and striking back.

The lion attempts to match but is shoved outside the ring as it barely started.

Coming back to that Kichiro dusts down his clothing and wipes the sweat from his palms.

Final match now, both at two points. He tries to make a somewhat teatral performance.

Burning the last reserves of his stamina, Kichiro slams hard into his opponent. The roar of a lion ringing out as he pushes Aiichiro to edge of the ring.

He bows respectfully after the match, no signals of even bruises even as the Lion had some hard-ish blows, and leaves the ring. "So I did not know you."

Kichiro returns the bow in kind. His Lion's pride reignited within as he peers back towards the crowd with new found confidence. Maybe he stood a chance at standing side by side with these imperial graduates? Too early to know.

Remaining behind for a moment he watches Aiichiro depart. To cut down a colleague, a cousin, to his dearest friend... Tarnished this victory somewhat. He hopes he is still able to follow through on his promise.

He attempts to clear his mind afterwards, but fails to do so. Blood was boiling somewhat hot.
