The poll runs until the end of D10, that will tell us. So far it looks like August 1st

Actual question this time, will any of the events limit the use of advantages like in part 1 with Benton's blessing?

Nope, part 2 pretty much lifts all restrictions and is a game as normal (with the additional campaign rules in place)

How long is a session for this?

Is there going to be restrictions on magic for events

Sessions are still 3 real life days. (So effectively 2 full sessions and a 3rth thats just one game day)

No restrictions on magic, do what you gotta do to impress the judges.

Will we have our ir1 techs for topaz (and shugs having their spells)?

Yes. Character Creation/Returning Character rules will be posted at the end of D10

About Kiho for non-brotherhood characters. It says those with the Monk and Shinobi tag can buy kiho, but shugenja get the advantage "Friend of the Brotherhood". If a shugenja only has that one tag, can they still buy kiho?

Only if they have the Friend of the Brotherhood advantage

Will Maho/shadowlands be allowed?

Uh, sure....though youll need a backstory reason for as to how you got it between pt 1 and pt 2 (Roughly a year)

The Artisan Academy is contained in the same complex as the Duelist Academy. They just felt like the map should be labeled "Duelist" instead of just Academy. The Crane source book (And Crane Great Clan Lore here on the forums) lists the Academy containing both still.

Can we use kata in an iaijutsu duel?

Yes, kata get activated inside a combat without an action (technically as a free action) when you roll initiative, and Iaijutsu is both a combat and has an initiative step.

Is this a new rule for your game? Normally activating a kata is a simple action

1. The Hunting event for Topaz says shuggies make a second hunting check instead of kyujutsu? Is that optional?

2. I am getting 8 XP from Rings. Can I combine that with general XP from character creation?

I didn't know if this would occur, but since it did - I think it might be a good idea to let people pool in CP along with the bonuses, losing 8 or more points and having no option about that sounds a bit harsh
