Jiro had told him it was risky to invade the state but didn't mention scouting it for guards and night shifts. Like a good shinobi he uses the dim light of the lord moon to keep his way out of eyes view.

The Estate is walled, with angled roofs on a majority of the northern walls. The South, East, north, and West are flat topped walls, all a good twelve feet in height. The entrance is on the Western side of the estate, and is manned by four Daidoji guards around the clock. There is a small servant entrance via a solid wooden door on the northern wall with two guards as well.

As he moved quietly around tries to find the best way in would be the service entrance that is also guarded. He moved closer to the wall to feel the stone and check out if they were to climb if a grappling hook would be needed.

The walls are made of rock with mortar sealing them, so they are quite smooth. There may be some hand holds, but it seems the best bet would be either to climb with a rope and grappling, or to somehow leap from other, more accessible rooftops from surrounding buildings at the Temple of Amaterasu

With the little that he learned about battle in Hirosaka, Kaidan tried to find another weak point in this state.

Likely the best means of infiltration and staying unseen would be to enter from the south.

He scouted around for nearby animals. Maybe next time he should bring a cat. It could help with distracting the guards.

This section of the city did not have any stray animals, though the market area nearby certainly did

Even if he is not good with animals he moved to find some feral, specially cats, they may bring ill fortune with Daikoku but they are excellent at being blamed for sneaking around.

There are many feral cats in the market district, hanging around food stalls and the like. Catching one would prove to be difficult, however.

He smirked as he could find one with ease of access and found a friendly one that would probably not claw his eyes out. He picked up the small little creature.

It seems to like Kaidan, and takes to being carried just fine.

The house of the Laughing Carp is pretty much straight north from Little Khanbulak.
