"After we are finished here, shall we go to my room to retrieve it then? We are staying at the same inn, no?"

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"Yes I believe so, we met outside the other day to go to the river." His heart thumped a little bit, but he worked hard to keep cool. 'Calm down Eichiro, just getting a copy of the Tao.'

'Bushido is the way of the samurai,' he would intone, drilling them on the tenets straight from Leadership.

That's the only way that the boy knew. The others had been rejected out of hand. Cloudy, nebulous dreams that would incite hesitation while the meaning of dragonfly wings covered with dew are compared to the developing charge of the enemy.

But, maybe... maybe there were times when a stream and a waterfall might be more than just the water kami working their way down from the snowmelt. He took another drink.. maybe he was a little drunk and that's why it made sense.

It was Eichiro's turn to be reticent, considering these things quietly.
