Toast (D6, EA)

[Kokyou]

"I confess I would be cheerin' fer ye t' win those heated arguments... if we didn' 'ave our heavenly Otomo-sama in th' competition. One cannot deny th' Imperial Families this appreciation." He says, raising a sly eyebrow. "She actually won th' weapon's match against me. She's quite blessed in well-nigh everythin'."

Kokyou takes another sip. "I was wonderin' wha' sort o' deed would th' Lion be so inclined t' promote that would include th' Mantis. We bein' cousins, 'n all."

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"What I need, is to witness the event myself. I seem to have missed most of the great and exciting events this week." Eichiro frowns, "it's the first person account that makes the story the most believable."

[Kokyou]

Kokyou inhales deeply and looks to the skies. No regrets is the through crossing his mind. Then, he gets his eyes back at Eichiro to say with a smile, "Ye should stick t' me, Ikoma-san. I be th' eye o' th' storm. Ye won't miss a single great deed wit' me around."

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"Well, that would all depend on my future posting wouldn't it." Eichiro replies, "though, I'm not too certain about the ocean. Too much salt."

[Kokyou]

"That adds flavor t' life." He chuckles and nods, "Well. Ye 'ave been invited. Th' future be wha' we make o' it. I be lookin' fore t' puttin' up a real show tomorrow."

He takes another sip of the tea and smiles, "I like how stingy spicy 'tis. It makes me feel calm. Remindin' me o' galleon. Thanks fer partakin'."

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"If it were my choice, I would seek out everything the empire had to offer." Eichiro muses, "but Duty binds us, Kokyou-san. In a few days, my every gesture will need to be in service to the Lion. Every story in its service, every word for its goals."

"Until then, eat, drink, and be merry. For tomorrow we die. Kampai!"

[Kokyou]

"T' our new lives n' th' morrow." He says, and cheers, "Kanpai."

Kokyou takes the extra time to try meditate after the tea, but the chat with Eichiro seems to have made him pay attention to the environment more than himself.

It was a lovely sake house. Hopefully this one is a bit more fireproof than the other.
