The New Winds

A fancy inn's bath house was a step up from a cold rinse in a river or lake, that was for sure. Warmed from tea and sore from a long day, Mirai was more than happy to indulge just a little with a long hot bath before bed. She spent extra time scrubbing herself down before she got in the water, somewhere in her distant memory her mother scolding her for getting the bath dirty.

It soured her a bit, but as she slipped into the hot water, she let the heat wash her thoughts away.
