Assur is a legendary horse among the Ujik, and his tales stuck with the Unicorn on their journey after running into the Ujik. A muddy dun with a buckskin's black spine. Mount of the trickster Tögöldör, who himself was the comedic companion of the great folk hero Temüülen.

Assur's love of water is legendary, part of the legends in fact. He dove and swam and got Tögöldör in a few tight places chasing just a bit of moisture. There's a tale of Temüülen and Tögöldör charging their enemies across a field after a nice solid rain, and despite all urging, Assur must dash to every puddle on the field, this way and that. Not a single arrow touched them because their enemies couldn't figure out where to aim.

Assur and his puddles becomes a "ah, you know how they are," when referencing a person.
