Wyn arrives at the stables, now that everything else is complete, he figured it was time to deal with the one part of his training he found most glaringly missing. He had done well in the Horsemanship lessons, much to his own surprise, and figured it was time to get more comfortable with Horses in general.

The Utaku sensei entered the stables carrying some apples and then looked to the Miya,

"Hello, Miya-san. Here to say farewell to the horses?"

"Hai...Utaku-sama, I mean...well" He smiles, "I know that riding is going to be a big part of my future as a scout and map maker, but at my school they make horsemanship be one of the last things you learn. My sensei, he feels children can get hurt riding horses too young, and so those are the classes that I missed when coming here originally. When I get back, those will be the classes I must catch up on." He swallows, "Before yesterday I had never done more the clean a horses stables, but I found riding....quite exhilarating in the lesson yesterday. I thought I should try to become slightly more familiar if I was going to be spending half my life on horseback."

"Shall we go on a ride then?"

She walks through the stable as she talks, feeding an apple to each horse.

"Come then. First, you should find a horse you have a bond with. Walk the stables and see which stick their head out to you, and then who allows you to touch them without pulling away."

Wyn begins walking the stables, "But...they are all so beautiful, and nice, and...I just don't" One of the horses sticks its his out and bops Wyn in the ear, before licking the side of his face. Wyn giggles, and then immediately catches himself straightening back up, "Sorry Utaku-Sensei-Domo

The Unicorn woman smiles brightly.

"Seems like you have found your match. Come then, enter the stall with a brush and work the steed before you mount it. It's important to ensure a comfortable ride for both of you."

Wyn nods, taking the brush and entering in to begins brushing down the horse, he keeps his free hand on the horses side reassuringly, and talks to it as he goes, trying to keep the horse calm.

Although he again shows no formal training, at least his natural charisma comes through and the horse seems to calm some.

“Excellent. Come then, grab a bit and some reins and we can begin the ride”

The woman walks over to a peg on the wall where the tach is kept and gets some for herself before putting it on her horse

Wyn nods energetically and goes to collect the tack for his horse, paying attention to hooking it up correctly, and watching the Utaku as she does hers for direction.

Once their horses are ready, Oichi leads hers by the reins out of the stables and onto the training grounds.

"Let's do a few laps here so I can keep watch on your form closely. Then we can take a ride throug the city and perhaps even out into the wilderness for a run!"

"That sounds fun, I haven't been outside the Dojo at all in over a week, not that it hasn't been fun, oh and exciting with the.....ditch digging and all"

The two ride in silence for some time as the woman observes Wyn.

"You seem comfortable enough, I think we can take to the streets now."

She rides to the gates to the Dojo complex, the guards bowing to her as she passes through.

Wyn actually holds his breath as he passes under the gates, he then smiles wide once he does so. Taking in the sights of the village for the first time, "Its weird to realize that there is something outside the walls of the Dojo"

The Utaku laughs.

"You are a Cartographer, no? Wait until you see the wonders of the Empire."

He nods, "I grew up in a small village not far outside the sleeping giant. I attended classes at the Imperial dojo, and have been to the capital a few times. Other then that I have never been out in the empire much. I think this might be the furthest from home I have ever been. I became a cartographer because I hope to one day see the wonders of the Wall or the Burning Sands."

"Well, should you ever find yourself in Unicorn lands, please seek me out. I would be happy to tour the plains with you."
