The New Winds

Mai prepared for another tea ceremony. She wouldn't let Doji-sensei think she was worthless. Practice makes perfect.

Tea is always better when taken with others. Kazuko walks in and bows to the mantis.

"Hai, Mai-san, may I join you?"

Mai bows. "Yes. Please do. How are you today Kakita-san?"

"I am doing well, if a bit tired, thank you. You did really good in the magistrate training today, I didn't think that the Mantis rode horses often."

"We be good riders, indeed!" Kokyou dashes in with his gallant eloquence.

"Tha-" Then with Kokyou's arrival, Mai bows. "Kokyou-kun, welcome." As Kazuki is a young woman, Mai assumes they know each other.

((OOC Note: I'm working right now, so posting off my phone. I made the roll last night and it passed. I'll make that post once I can get on my lap top.))

Kazuko bows too, giving Kokyou an odd look. That was some good timing of his. Had he followed her here?

"Hello, Kokyou-san. Is riding horses a normal part of Mantis training? Most Mantis that I know of sail ships, or plan to."

"We ride the giant waves o' destiny. Horses are simple wee creatures in comparison." He explains, proudly, and bows to both of them before taking a seat. "Well, Mai-chan. Thanks fer the invitation. Havin ye in me crew always fills me eyes wit' joy, as yer tea flavors me day."

"I'm always happy to have you, Kokyou-kun." Mai did not comment about being on his crew. Maybe should wait until Topaz. She then performs the ceremony, correctly this time. Thankfully, she followed the Moto's example.

"We don't typically train on horses. But when you think about it, horses are just like small boats. Small living boats."
