Are all supplies provided by the dojo for Artisan tests?

Yep!

Pardon my ignorance, but will there be a chance for us to increase our Void Ring. The reoccurring events only show that you can increase rings you use.

Void will come from something, but not the announced.

Just want a clarification on the full defense of the opponent, is the formula 5+(2k1/2) or (5+2k1)/2?

The Daily Artisan/Courtier events/lessons

If your school has both Courtier and Artisan tags are you allowed to participate in both?

Reminder to Meishodo Shugenja:

You do not cast spells as normal. Instead, you may create a magical amulet by making a successful roll of Craft: Meishodo/Ring, using the Ring for the desired spell. The TN of this roll is equal to 15 plus 5 x the spell's Mastery Level.

However, you start the game with 6 talismans already, including 6 stored spells

If you make the talismans during the event itself, then use the event TNs and those count as rolls for the event
if you use pre-created meishodo with stored spells, automatic successes and no chance for bonuses
if you create meishodo outside of anywhere other than the event thread, normal TNs

you create the blank talisman first using normal crafting rules (Like say, artisan: woodworking to make a wooden amulet) and then later on (In the event) you turn it into actual meishodo, using the meishodo rules

Is Craft: Meishodo now an artisan skill?

Yes, i was just lazy and didn't change the schools to say Artisan instead of Craft. errata overrides written rules, so all craft skills are now artisan instead

Is it a Unicorn secret or can anyone make them?

Oh wait, that leads me to a question, Vutall. Can we create a talisman beforehand using Craft (/Artisan): Meishodo itself, or do we absolutely need another Artisan skill to do it?

If we do need another skill for the amulets, I may have to switch some more points around I guess

Artisan: Meishodo assumes you have some object already made (Like say, an amulet or trinket of some sort) that you are putting the spirit into. (You still need to actually acquire the object though, by commerce or asking someone to make it for you)

If you want to make your own object instead of using something pre-made, you need an artisan skill to make the object.

So I guess using Artisan: Meishodo in the Artisan training events is actually not possible, then?

But also, I'll see if I can change some stuff around, too, that might be a bit easier than depending on commerce

Artisan: Meishodo is different than normal artisan skills, as only Meishodo shugenja can learn it. Meishodo is the art of "capturing" the spirit into whatever object you have that is already made.

If you want to not have a premade object and instead make an object, that would be an Artisan: () roll.

So say if you want to have a netsuke that you store a spell in, you would need to either buy (or be given) the netsuke, OR you would spend some time carving it yourself using Artisan: Woodworking.

Can it be stored in anything? (Rings, bracelets etc?)
Does the item have to be made of a specific substance to be able to accept the spirit?
Does the item have to be made by the Iuchi, or can someone else make it?
