Practice in the shadows

Stealth is a skill that many categorize as low but having an advantage over the enemy has its rewards. Kaidan was in the dojo trying to master the hide, range attack, hide, move silently tactics. He set up boxes and things on where he could hide. It was all a matter of perspective if he would be seen. He also set up dummies to simulate the targets. So the young Bayushi started his training...

Sanzo couldn't sleep, his mind kept going back to what Asako sensei had told him. So, he decided to walk around a bit. It helped with the thinking.

And so, the young Phoenix found himself wandering into the dojo. His eyes inattentively glossed over one of the target dummies, which he briefly mistook for a real perso, shocking him out of his thoughts. After realizing it was just a dummy, he chuckles at himself before giving a cursory glance around. Someone had to have set these up, after all.

"Hello? Anyone here?"

Kaidan moved again to behind the Asako. "Yes" He whispered. "some one is here."

Sanzo jumps slightly and turns quickly.

"Ah! Scorpion-san! Quite an interesting set up you've got here."

"I am training in arts of attacking without being seen." He explained. "So I try to hide behind the boxes and hit the dummies but it is quite inaccurate for they don't have eyes."

Sanzo nods along with what the Bayushi says. "I could see how that would be an issue. Hmmm... would painting eyes on them help?"

"I think that unless they are possessed by Gaki painting them eyes wouldn't help... or perhaps it could..." he gave it some thought. The boy pursed his lips and wondered. "well maybe it could help me understand where they would be watching."

"Hmmm... their faces might be hard to see in the dark, too. Oh! I got it! What about hats! Do we have any extra hats lying around? Maybe some from that silly court game?"

"That will not help." He sighed. "I need someone to find me. Or note where I am."

"Well I guess I could do that. Though, I'll warn you: I'm not really skilled at it. At least, not yet. "

"If you can find me then I have a problem." Kaidan explained. "See that means I am doing a poor job."

Sanzo shrugs. "Fair enough. So how do we do this? I count to ten with my eyes closed and then come looking for you?"

He thought about it. "That sounds like a plan." He moved to a place and waited for the Phoenix to count so he would hide.

Sanzo offers a simple nod before covering his eyes.

"One... two... three..."

Kaidan hid somewhere he would not be seen easily. He hid behind some unnoticed boxes.

"... eight... nine... ten! Alright, now where'd you go..."

Sanzo begins to check behind boxes and dummies and whatever else is in the room at random. The shadows here were dense, and it was a utterly difficult for Sanzo to see in here.

Sanzo was cold. Kaidan moved from one box to another quietly to be able to get closer to the Phoenix without him seeing him.
