Books Before Bread

Deciding to hold off on breakfast until the end of the hour, just before lessons, Nobuko instead headed to the library to retrieve and review scrolls on some of the finer details of etiquette and law. It was not a usual sight - thus far she had the habit of spending the hour taking a long bath. But for the missive to come, she wanted to have notes and be as prepared as possible.

The library wasn't extensive, but it did have some references.
