The New Winds

Too many guards circling around and not much to do. Kokyou fetches his small hand mirror and starts posing and making faces to it with his arm extended... as if admiring himself while other people are in the background. If only the mirror could record these images...

The mirror added another presence.

Though the two had previously met, she would for the most part be unrecognizable. The training clothes weren't there before after all, and neither was the demon mask. Still, few had such long black hair.

"...Kokyou-san, what are you doing?" The voice, at least, was just the same.

"Shiver me timbers!" He boasts. "The mirror jus' got much more lovely, now."

He wiggles his eyebrows, looking at her through the mirror while flirting. "I be doing greater, as usual. Do ye study here or are ye an instructor assistant?"

Otoko blinked. She was tall, but she didn't think she looked that old. "...I am a student here the same as you. Don't you remember us talking in the baths? I am Yogo Otoko."

Kokyou clicks his tongue, still talking through the mirror. "I wasn't mistaken then, when I said lovely. 'tis lovely herself, aye aye!"

"...Is it good to see you again as well." She paused. "Have you visited Utaku-sensei yet?"

"'tis always good t' 'ave ye around, lovely. Unfortunately, I 'ave nah. Yet. I will, though. When do ye plan t' train?" He asks through the mirror and fixing his hair and making some facial expressions like... pouting.

"The plans were yours Kokyou-san. As long as it does not interfer with lessons, I would be fine with whenever." For her part, Otoko just stood still, watching.

"I know. 'tis an amazin' plan. Ridin' wit' ye 'n sensei. Definitely somethin' o' mine." He winks to himself at the mirror.

"We could try it on the morrow. Would ye help me reach out t' Utaku-sensei?" He asks Otoko.

Her head tilted to the side slightly. "...On the morrow works fine for me,, but I am uncertain how I would have any clout with Utaku-sensei."

"Leave the clout t' me. I be good at that, too. In any chance, I can ride wit' her, learn, 'n then teach ye. Wha' ye say?" He suggests.

"Aye. I'll try me best t'... well... convince her." He nods to the mirror again. "How has medicine going?"

It took her a moment to realize what he meant. "...Ah right. I have had no opportunities to test my skills since we spoke, but I have read up some in my free time. They have quite the library here."

"I might needs yer lovely hands preparin' me some salves 'n badges some o' these days. I hope I can count wit' yer skills. Wha' ye say?" He asks, turning around to look at her directly.

"I would indeed, lovely." He wiggles his eyebrows at the offer of being handled by Otoko's healing touch.

The Scorpion girl shrugged. "...As you wish. I will pray it does not come to that however."
