The New Winds

Bayushi Kaidan decided to look for Tomoe sensei. Perhaps she could help him understand why some plants could be medicinal and other could make people do odd things.

Tomoe was not anywhere to be found. After some time of searching and turning up with nothing, a voice called out from a shadowed hallway.

"Are you looking for something, Bayushi-san?"

He blinked a few times as to bring to focus who was talking to him. "I was looking for Shosuro sensei. I wanted to ask her a few things about herbs."

The shadowed figure glides forward, a picture of grace and elegance. They are dressed in scorpion colors, but the mask is not familiar.

"Oh? What exactly are you seeking?"

Kaidan nodded.I wonder who this is? "Well some plants seem to be medicinal in some ways and others seem medicinal in other ways." He nodded. "Some allow you to make people do things that one wants... like sleep."

"Ah, I see. You should study in the gardens of our clan sometime, Bayushi-san. Many answers will you find there. "

"Yes, I wondered if I could start training here before I go home." He smiled. "Knowing is half the battle." He tried to find on the kimono the school or the family of this Scorpion.

"I see. Well, let me get you something..."

The person dressed in scorpion colors has a Shosuro mon on them. They motion for Kaiden to wait and they walk off, returning shortly after with a small, tightly wrapped scroll.

"Read this, and then return it to one of the Scorpion sensei. Let no others see it"

Kaidan nodded. "Hai, sama." He took the scroll and bowed. He placed the scroll on his sleeve to study later in the privacy of his room.

"Shadows guide you, Bayushi-san"

And with that, the mysterious person walks away.
