Event: Treasure Hunt

The man bows low, his head pressed into the ground.

"Your ancestors will see what you did today, samurai-sama. You need not ask me, but them."

As the students make their way to the Temple district, they spot one of the horses the Ronin had lent them run through the street, wild and riderless. The realization that she must have been stolen, along with all the others they rode, dawning on them. The horse gallops off.

At the temple district, there is quite a commotion. City guards are there, and the district barred from having anyone enter. When asked, the guards explain that someone attacked the shrine and ransacked the temple guest house, even slaying one of the shrine keepers. No one is allowed in at this time as the priests are conducting complex rituals to sanctify the now soiled holy grounds. They also say that the person who did such a thing has not yet been found, and for their own safety, they should all return home as a dangerous criminal is now lose in the streets.

Disheartened and heavy with the burden of their actions, the students head back to the dojo. When they get close, they spot a rope hanging from a wall near the dojo's forge...and a horse tied to a nearby fence post. Recognizing it as the ronin womans, the students all scurry over the wall....

Kokyou wasn't sure about the whole thing. Quite weird for Keina to head back to the dojo like this.

As for his ancestors, the young boy is sure they'll frown on his actions today... if he doesn't get some loot.

Still deeply uneasy and angry about the whole thing, Kazuko unties the horse before cautiously climbing the wall. Keina's horse was likely stolen and even if it wasn't, she wanted to get payback for the whole debacle. A shrine keeper was dead because of them - no, because of her. She was unable to see through Keina's deception because she was blinded by the prospect of glory and treasure...

"Be careful, Keina could be armed."

Kenji was plagued by his own guilt, could they have prevented this? Could they have stopped the ronin? Or was it all in vain?

But he did not have much time to ask himself these questions, it was time for revenge. If not for him or his honour, then for the innocent monk. There was the promising wall again, this time Kenji would get it right.
